about

I am Elias Giannopoulos — or just Hlias.
I'm a designer, maker, and 3D printing specialist based in Athens, Greece.
For over 10 years, I ran stereolab.gr, where I built open-source FDM 3D printers and led hands-on workshops. That gave me a deep technical foundation in design and fabrication.Today, I focus on creating custom 3D printed solutions — blending practical design with playful ideas.I’m also co-founder and head designer at meeplekeepers.com, making upgrades for the board gaming community.

skroll

_Your personal card embosser — scroll, emboss, share.Concept:
_Skroll was born from a simple challenge: how can a personal business card leave a physical impression — literally? Inspired by vintage printing machines and scroll mechanisms, Skroll embosses your handle or brand directly onto a card, using a custom 3D-printed cylinder.
_It’s tactile, analog, and just a little bit playful.Design Notes:
_Skroll was designed from the ground up for 3D printing. It’s not just a method of production — it’s the core idea. Traditional manufacturing can’t match the level of personalization and modularity this tool offers.
_Each unit is lightweight, support-free to print, and optimized for home production.
The mechanism itself is inspired by old film cameras — specifically the feel of winding film. That familiar gesture gives Skroll a nostalgic, mechanical satisfaction.
